You know what would be really cool? If I had a lot of money. That'd be pretty cool.

As always, Captain Obvious, you succinctly cut to the heart of the matter.

Agreed. There's something perfect about it :) oh, check out the rear shots of that car. They just don't do derriere's like they used to (with the possible exception of the f-type)

Apparently they don't do plurals like they used to, either... :p

Isn't that style of photography a total cliche in the world of classic cars, these days? Which would fit with it being on Ebay now...

I'm much more of a fan of it done with, maybe less studioness, but just beautifully prepared cars against a nice bit of real-world backdrop. Like this, for example:

That, incidentally, was the classic car dealer the seller of the Camry turned out to be. Some really gorgeous classic cars and especially bikes in there.

Somehow, to me, pics like the ones from your Ebay seller look like toy cars, or maybe museum pieces/garage queens. The bit of outside you can see in the ones like those two make me think of actually riding the bike or driving the car.

True, I certainly prefer buying from someone with nicely prepared cars in real-world settings. It was just nice to see some really clean shots that really show off the detail of some classic cars in prime condition :)

My personal favourite of all eBay ads I've seen is this:

Kinja'd!!!

Great photo, makes the car look stunning and it shows that it's used and cherished. There were more of the more standard classified ad shots after it, but it's a great little lead-in shot :)

Classic, yes. Fast? Not so much.

Tartan interiors need to come back.

I have my fast already. I miss the plaid interior of my parents old K-5 Blazer. Black, 350, 4wd, and plaid!!!!!

Plaid is the best! I would've opted for that in a heartbeat if it was an option in current BMWs.

Talking of which, do you ever get the urge to call up about a car ad just to correct the seller's spelling?

Hmmm, not really, but I have been dissuaded from calling someone about a car because the ad has made me think that they're a blithering idiot...
